A device and a method for identifying multi-touch points are provided. When a light emitting unit emits light to the rear surface of an optical waveguide, the light emitted by a physical phenomena generated from the front surface of the optical waveguide is scattered to the inside of the optical waveguide. The optical waveguide receives the scattered light, and the received light is totally reflected in the optical waveguide. The received light escapes from the optical waveguide via the side surface of the optical waveguide and a light receiving part detects the escaping light. |
