The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for motion vector encoding/decoding through estimation of multiple motion vectors, and a method and an apparatus for video encoding/decoding using the same. The present invention provides a motion vector encoding apparatus, wherein the motion vector encoding apparatus comprises a motion vector estimator for, while estimating multiple motion vectors, estimating one of the multiple motion vectors as a motion vector of a current block and estimating the rest motion vectors of the multiple motion vectors according to a video decoding apparatus and one or more predefined estimation criteria; and a motion information encoder for encoding motion information generated by using the multiple motion vectors.
