Disclosed are a dust collector of a coke oven, and a controlling method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the dust collector comprises: a dust duct which is arranged along the longitudinal direction of a coke oven and has an opening part along the longitudinal direction, wherein a hood connection part of a moving vehicle is movably inserted into the opening part; a belt for covering the opening part of the dust duct; two upper rollers which keep the belt, in the raised state, where the hood connection part is positioned, and which moves with the moving vehicle; two lower rollers which pressure the lower part of the raised belt to be in contact with the dust duct and which moves with the moving vehicle; and a tension control unit which is installed to be able to move up and down between the two upper rollers and which controls the tension of the belt by pressuring or releasing the raised belt downwardly. |
