A receptacle 1 is a connector component to be coupled to a USB connector 3 incorporating a plurality of conductor wires, and a ferrule 4 holding distal ends of optical fibers, and is provided with connections 18 to be connected to the plurality of conductor wires, a light emitting device 23 to emit light toward the ferrule 4, and a light receiving device 24 to receive light emitted from the ferrule 4. |
