Disclosed is a work piece with a layer system that contains at least one layer of composition (Al y Cr1-y) N, with a cubic structure, where 0.415 <=y <=0.695, the composition of the layer changing over the thickness of the layer continuously or incrementally, the work piece being a milling tool, a broaching cutter, a reamer, a turnover cutting plate for turning and milling, a molding tool, an injection-molding tool, a forming tool or a hot-forming tool. Also disclosed is a method for producing such a work piece or part. |
