Aluminum cast alloy, comprises: 1-5 vol.% carbon nanotubes (CNT), which are coated with an oxide, and an aluminum-titanium-boron alloy, where the carbon nanotubes are uniformly distributed in the aluminum-titanium-boron alloy. An independent claim is also included for producing aluminum cast alloy, comprising (a) forming a molten aluminum-titanium-based alloy, (b) forming a molten aluminum boron-based alloy, (c) mixing the molten aluminum-titanium-based alloy, and the molten aluminum boron-based alloy by in situ process, (d) introducing carbon nanotubes coated with an oxide into the resulting molten metal. |
