PURPOSE: A shift shock reduction system and method of an electrically driven utility vehicle are provided to accelerate a motor temporally up to the number of rotation corresponding to change of shift ratio, thereby reducing momentary shift shock. CONSTITUTION: A utility vehicle includes a motor (3) and a transmission and is driven by electrical energy. A shift shock reduction system for the electrically driven utility vehicle comprises a controller (2) to control output of the motor; a gear shift detection unit (10) to obtains information about what gear the utility vehicle gets into. The gear shift detection unit detects a gear number that the utility vehicle changes based a position of a shift gear.
