PURPOSE: An automatic adjusting apparatus of an image display device and an adjusting method thereof are provided to optimize the image quality with adjustment according to a fixed aging time by automatically checking and adjusting a series of process for aging of an image display device and adjusting the gamma and color coordinate to multiple image display devices according to a schedule. CONSTITUTION: An optical measuring instrument (90) measures a display characteristic of image display devices. A power supply unit (40) checks the power source of selected image display devices. A communication switching unit (70) switches communication lines respectively connected between the multiple image display devices and an adjustment and control unit (60) for the communications in order to communicate with the adjustment and control unit. A test control unit (30) controls the power supply unit according a test schedule for the image display device, outputs the aging result to the adjustment and control unit, and controls a measuring instrument driving unit (20) and the communication switching unit according to the regulation result of the adjustment and control unit.
