<p>Device is intended for collecting slices of toast from a conveyor leaving an oven and to deliver them in packets at the outlet to be sent for packing. It replaces the work of a number of persons, each of whom would be needed to remove the slices from one or two rows. The device is located after the conveyor leaving the toaster, the slices being arranged in parallel, longitudinal rows. Each row of slices is transferred to a conveyor belt, which carries and tips them into a chute which leads them to a passage arranged transversely to the belt. The slices are driven through these passages by a transverse belt which forms the base of the passages and on which the slices rest on their edges. The slices fed into the passages leave the device assembled in packets.</p> |
