摘要 The present invention provides an electrolyte for a redox flow battery having excellent degradation resistance, excellent conductivity owing to low inner resistivity, an excellent low-temperature property and elevated stability owing low flammability; and a manufacturing method thereof. The electrolyte for a redox flow battery comprises a basic electrolyte manufactured by adding and stirring one or two kinds of starting materials among V2O5, V2O3, V2O4 and NH4VO3, which are vanadium compounds, in refined distilled water, adding one or two kinds of reductants selected among N2H4 (hydrazine), N2H4 hydrate, HO2CCO2H (oxalic acid), HO2CCO2H hydrate, NaBH4 (sodiumborohydride) and the aqueous solution of NaBH4 to the stirred compounds to reduce the starting materials, and adding H2SO4 or H3PO4 to the reduced product; 5 to 10 parts by weight of a first additive composed of propylene carbonate (PC) and diethyl carbonate (DEC) with respect to 100 parts by weight of the basic electrolyte; 4 to 6 parts by weight of a second additive composed of a phosphazene derivative with respect to 100 parts by weight of the basic electrolyte; and 10 to 15 parts by weight of a third additive composed of piperidinium trifluoromethan sulfonyl imide (TFSI) ionic liquid with respect to 100 parts by weight of the basic electrolyte.
