PURPOSE: A compact optical splice closure is provided to facilitate the extension and fixation of optical fiber and maximize the installation convenience when the closure is installed to electric poles or messenger wires as well as manholes under the ground. CONSTITUTION: A compact optical splice closure comprises: a body (100) having insertion portions (101,102) for insertion of optical cables in which an extra length portion (105) for extra length keeping of the inserted optical cable and a connector for connection between the extra length portion and the optical cable are installed; a cover having joint holes which are penetrated in one side to be coupled to the fastening holes (151,152) of the body and a holding portion which is formed in a round shape in the other side to rotate on a rod formed on the body and hang from the rod; and fixing holes (171,172) formed on the body to fix the body. |
