Disclosed are an electric car state information providing system and a method thereof which warns by checking the state of a battery during driving in the arrival of a risk level and informs a portable terminal of a driver of the state of the battery and accurately recognizes the state of the battery to the driver and provides information regarding a follow-up action. The disclosed electric car state information providing system comprises a car device which generates a warning of the battery state by checking the state of a battery in the arrival of a risk level and controls power. The car device transmits state information of the battery to a driver terminal carried by the driver or a navigation system installed in a car. The car device produces route information of a booked designation maintenance center by giving prior notice of the state of the car and controls a route guide. The disclosed electric car state information providing system comprises; a driver terminal which receives car information including the state information of the battery and displays car information on a screen and transmits the car information to a car maintenance center terminal through a network; and the car maintenance center terminal which searches a designation maintenance center which is close to a present car position based on the car information and transmits the car information to the searched designation maintenance center. The car maintenance center terminal performs maintenance reservation and transmits maintenance reservation information to the driver terminal.
