The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for generating an animation. The generating method of the animation according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: extracting an image; mapping the image to point B-point E which are the vertices of a rectangle and to point A which is a center of the rectangle, and storing the coordinates; verifying if the mapping image moves; storing the time and coordinates of the mapping image after moving if the mapping image moves; and storing the time and coordinates of the mapping image during movement by calculating in interpolation.
