FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Method of controlling blood pressure measurement by oscillometric method is realised by means of electronic sphygmomanometer. Electronic sphygmomanometer contains cuff, unit for regulation of pressure in cuff by compression and decompression, unit for determining cuff pressure, unit for reception of data introduced by user about whether circumference of shoulder of the person, whose pressure is to be measured, larger or equal to specified value, and control unit for blood pressure measurement. Control unit contains unit for determination of measurement method from compression and decompression on the basis of introduced data, first measuring processor for blood pressure measurement in the process of decompression and second measuring processor for blood pressure measurement in the process of compression. Method of blood pressure measurement from decompression and compression ones is determined on the basis of introduced data. Procedure of blood pressure measurement in the process of decompression in carried out if it is determined that blood pressure should be measured by decompression method.
