Provided by the present invention is a technology which enables a user to participate in a religion event conveniently by using a portable terminal. The religion live broadcast content providing apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a photographing data receiving unit which generates processed religion event image content by receiving data which photographs a religion event which is held in a remote place periodically in real time; an additional information managing unit which receives additional information of the religion event which includes information which is related to the religion event from a database which manages the additional information of the religion event; a content generating unit which generates religion event content which matches the religion event image content with the additional information; and a service providing unit which provides a menu which is able to select at least one of the religion event content generated by the content generating unit for a user terminal and provides a function which enables a user to participate in the religion event by providing the religion event content for the user terminal in case of receiving a selection input about any one of the religion event content from the user terminal.
