Provided are a three-dimensional (3D) image converting method and a display device to which the same is applied. The 3D image converting method of the display device includes a step of generating a depth frame on key frames among a plurality of image frames; a step of calculating a motion vector between the image frames; a step of interpolating a center depth frame corresponding to center frames between the key frames by using the depth frame and the motion vector; and a step of generating a left eye image and a right eye image on a plurality of input frames by using the depth frame and the interpolated depth frame. Therefore, the display device can minimize errors and generates the approximate depth frame to a real depth frame.
