PURPOSE: A scroll compressor is provided to reduce the amount of exhausted refrigerants flowing from a backpressure chamber to a bypass channel by allowing the refrigerants to flow depending on the pressure of the back pressure chamber. CONSTITUTION: A scroll compressor comprises a front housing (110), a back pressure chamber (410), a bypass channel (420), an orifice passage, and first and second valves (440,450). A motor (200) is embedded in the front housing. The front housing has a suction port. The back pressure chamber is formed between a middle housing (120) and a rear housing (130). The bypass channel is connected to the back pressure chamber and a suction channel. The orifice passage is connected to the back pressure chamber and an exhaust channel (133). The first valve selectively opens and closes the bypass channel. The second valve selectively opens and closes the orifice passage. |
