摘要 An air conditioner for a hybrid electric vehicle and a control method thereof are provided to save electrical energy by collecting lost energy and storing the collected energy as liquefied refrigerant and using the collected energy. An air conditioner for a hybrid electric vehicle driven with an engine(1) and an electric motor(2) comprises a compressor. The compressor is connected to a driving output shaft(4) of a transmission(3) connected to the engine and the electric motor. The compressor is operated by using regenerative braking in vehicle stopping. The liquid coolant is stored in a reservoir tank(7) with the operation of the compressor so that the cooling performance is maintained even though the engine is not run in the idle driving and driving. The compressor forms an air conditioning circuit with a condenser(6), the reservoir tank, an expansion valve(8) and an evaporator(9). The reservoir tank comprises an inner tank(10) and an outer tank(11). The inner tank stores liquefied refrigerant. The outer tank stores the refrigerant of the gas state.
