[Also in Division E2] A clamp 10 for transmitting a pulling force comprises a member 11 with angled ends 13, 15 one of which is adapted for connection to pulling means and the other mounts a pin 19 aligned with the first end, and jaws 21, 23 pivotally mounted on the pin. The angled ends permit the clamp to be used over an obstruction, e.g. in straightening a motor vehicle, Fig. 1 (not shown.) Teeth on the jaws are directed towards a point where the centre line of the pin 19 intersects a hook 14 on the end 13. A frusto-conical projection 22 on the end 15 bears in a recess 46 in the jaws 21, 23, which are closed by bolts 29 and located by pins 38. The pin 19 has a spring- pressed detent 26 at one end and a cross-pin 28 at the other.
