[Problem] To provide a method for producing a phosphor material which is capable of efficiently forming a coating layer on the surface of phosphor particles and which is capable of obtaining high properties and high yield, the phosphor material obtained thereby, and a light emitting device using same. [Solution] A slurry comprising the phosphor particles (11), ceramic fine particles (12A) and a liquid is prepared (step S101). Next, the slurry is dried by a vacuum evaporation drying method to remove the liquid therefrom and to attach the ceramic fine particles (12A) to the surface of the phosphor particles (11) (step S102). Then, after drying the slurry, the phosphor particles (11) attached with the ceramic fine particles (12A) are heat-treated in an inert gas atmosphere (step S103). |
