A process for the preparation of substance with potential physiological properties 1-(1',1' -difluoro-2' -bromo-2' -choloroethyl)-6-methyluracil is carried out by interaction of known reactants and components of medicinal agents 6-methyluracil with halothane in molar ratio of 1:1. The reaction is carried out in the solvent system (benzene-dimethylformamide) under conditions of phase-transfer catalysis with dibenzo-18-crown-6-ether.
