A lithium air battery with a separable cathode and anode of the present invention is capable of separating a cathode and an anode. If lithium oxide cannot be properly created with oxygen and lithium ion as the cathode is covered with lithium oxide when electricity is generated with a battery (discharge), the cathode is replaced with another cathode which is not covered with lithium oxide, to continuously generate electricity. If the lithium ion is moved to a lithium metal anode due to the separation of the lithium oxide, which adheres to the cathode, from the oxygen when electricity is stored (charge), the cathode is replaced with another cathode combined with the lithium oxide to continuously store electricity. The cathode can be replaced by automatically replacing a cathode pouch on a lithium metal anode pouch by a robot or allowing a cathode film to pass on a lithium metal anode container like a roll film. The cathode and anode of the lithium air battery, which has the highest energy density among metal air batteries, can be separated to continually replace the cathode over the anode, thereby improving the performance and stability of the lithium air battery and increasing the life thereof. |
