A solar cell and a method for manufacturing thereof are disclosed. More specifically, disclosed are a solar cell and a method for manufacturing the same which comprises; a metal oxide template having multiple blow holes; a first type semiconductor layer which is formed on the upper side of the metal oxide template and the inner wall of the multiple blow holes; an intrinsic semiconductor layer which covers the first type semiconductor layer formed on the lower side of the metal oxide template and the inner side of the multiple blow holes; a second type semiconductor layer which covers the intrinsic semiconductor layer; a first electrode which is in contact with the first type semiconductor layer; a second electrode which is in contact with the second type semiconductor layer; and a polymer layer which is filled within the multiple blow holes and covers the upper and bottom sides of the metal oxide template.
