The objective of the present invention is to realize a configuration of preventing degradation of contrast around a screen without reduction of reliability of the configuration, by forming a black matrix to the end part of a substrate. A black matrix (202) is formed to the end part of an opposed substrate. A BM slit (2021) not having the black matrix around a sealant (20) is formed in order to block moisture etc invaded from the interface of the opposed substrate and the black matrix. A light shielding metal (142) is formed as a different layer from a withdrawal line (12) at the side of a TFT substrate in order to prevent a light from being leaked from the BM slit. Therefore, the light leaked from the BM slit can be blocked, and thus degradation of the contrast around the screen can be prevented. |
