<p>The device has an image analyzing unit (2) analyzing images captured by an optoelectronic unit (1) i.e. camera, to validate estimated target intervened on a vehicle (6). The unit has a shadow region analyzing unit (3) to process primary information (4) relative to shadow region of potential target. The unit (3) is associated to a position locating unit (8) that locates position of the vehicle with respect to sun. The unit (3) is associated to a correction unit (9) that corrects real position of the potential target by comparing the primary information and information provided by the unit (8). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for assisting the driving of a vehicle from locations of potential danger targets or another vehicle, through the detection of projected shadow regions (2) an information storage medium comprising a set of instructions for performing a vehicle driving assisting method (3) a computer program comprising a set of instructions for performing a vehicle driving assisting method.</p> |
