PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side lock device capable of preventing the half-locking of a lock part by actualizing a simple structure to suppress an increase in the number of components.SOLUTION: A glove box G (a movable member) is rockable among an opening position for opening the opening of an instrument panel (a fixed member), a closing position for closing the opening, and an over-stroke position where the glove box G is rocked in a further opening closing direction than the closing position. A pair of right and left cushion members 8 to be pressed between the glove box G and the instrument panel at the closing position are supported by a pair of right and left supporting pieces 9, respectively. When the glove box G is rocked from the opening position to the over-stroke position, both supporting pieces 9 pushed to be elastically deformed by both cushion members 8 serve as triggers to cancel the hold of both latch pins 2 by a stopper part (consisting of a step part 2e3 and a locking rib 7) and then put the latch pins 2 in engagement with both engaging holes of the instrument panel, respectively. |
