<p>An acid resistant crystalline glass enamel comprises a mixture of in weight %: SiO2 58-65; Al2O3 8-12; TiO2 3-5; K2O 2-7; Li2O 2-6; na2O 5-12; P2O5 3-5; Fe2O3 up to 3%; Ni2O3 + Co + MgO up to 2%; CaO up to 5%, F (as NaSiF6) up to 3%. The mix is melted in an oxidising atmosphere at 1300-1400 degrees C. The enamel is used for lining vessels for bacteriological reactions.</p> |
