PROCESS FOR PRODUCING COVERED SILVER FINE PARTICLES AND COVERED SILVER FINE PARTICLES PRODUCED BY SAID PROCESS

Provided are: a novel process which is employed in producing covered silver fine particles by a so-called amine complex decomposition method and which is different from any conventional process; and covered silver fine particles produced by said novel process. This novel process includes: the first step for mixing (1) a silver compound which can be decomposed by heating to form metallic silver with (2) an alkylamine and (3) at least one alcohol which is soluble in water and/or a compound which contains a carbon-hetero multiple bond and/or a hetero-hetero multiple bond in the molecule to form a complex which comprises the silver compound and the alkylamine; and the second step for decomposing the complex by heating to form silver fine particles which are covered with alkylamine-containing protective films.
