The oil filler tube (1) has an oil filler opening (7) with an oil droplets- and oil mist protection device (11), where the oil droplets- and oil mist protection device has a lower portion (3), upper portion (4) and elastomeric tongues (12,14). The elastomeric tongues are arranged in the upper portion and in the lower portion, and are spaced from each other. The elastomeric tongues in the upper portion and the elastomeric lugs in the lower portion overlap, such that an upper oil passage opening (18) and a lower oil passage opening (19) are arranged offset from each other. An independent claim is included for an internal combustion engine with a drive unit of a motor vehicle and an oil filler tube.
