Provided are a mass high voltage relay control device and a method. The relay control device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a relay control unit for supplying driving current to turn on the relay supplying power to the motor during starting a vehicle; and an auxiliary driving unit for supplying starting current to turn on the relay at the initial start of the vehicle. Therefore the present invention can minimize the power consumption and the components that are required for controlling the high voltage relay since the device can supply auxiliary starting current to turn on the relay at the initial start of the vehicle using the auxiliary driving method.
