PURPOSE: A composition containing seaweed extract is provided to prevent hair loss, to promote hair growth, and to be applied in pharmaceutical and cosmetic fields. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing hair loss or promoting hair growth contains seaweed extract. The seaweed is 1-200 ug/ml of Ishige sinicola, 1-200 ug/ml of Grateloupia elliptica, or 1-100 ug/ml of Hizikia fusiformis (Harvey) Okamura. The composition is a pharmaceutical composition or a cosmetic composition. The pharmaceutical composition contains 10-20 parts by weight of the extract. The daily dose of the pharmaceutical composition is 0.1-500mg per 1kg of body weight. The pharmaceutical composition is manufactured in the form of powder, granules, tablet, capsule, suspension, emulsion, syrup, ointment, external use, suppository, or sterilized injection solution. |
