PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp which has a thick protective film with sufficient film strength without requiring much labor for manufacture.SOLUTION: The fluorescent lamp includes a glass tube, a pair of electrodes provided at tube ends of the glass tube, mercury sealed in the glass tube, a discharge medium containing a rare gas, and bases. In the fluorescent lamp, a protective film applied to an inner wall of the glass tube and a phosphor layer applied onto the protective film are provided. The protective film is composed of multiple different protective films. Protective film materials and aqueous solvents contained in adjacent protective films of the multiple different protective films are different from each other, respectively. |
