PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable that requires only one time of an extrusion molding process and prevents cracks in a cable impact test.SOLUTION: An optical fiber cable 1 includes a cylindrical sheath 4 having an optical fiber storage part 3 near the center, which is a hollow part having a circular cross section to store an optical fiber 2. The hollow part having a circular cross section is partially used as a fiber extraction port 5 when the sheath is peeled for mid-span branching after the cable is arranged. A longitudinally attached tape 7 is disposed in a longitudinal direction of the cable in the sheath in such a way that the tape covers the fiber extraction port and surrounds a periphery of the hollow part having a circular cross section in a range to a position not reaching a bottom part on the opposite side to the fiber extraction port of the hollow part having a circular cross section. |
