PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing device for a manhole cover allowing for easy open and close of the manhole cover in a horizontal posture in a simple configuration.SOLUTION: An opening and closing device 10 for a manhole cover includes: a beam member 12 installed above a manhole cover 2; legs 14 projecting and fixed to lower parts of both end sides of the beam member 12, respectively; wheels 16 rotatably attached to both of the end sides of the legs 14, respectively; two lifting members 20 provided on the beam member 12 in a vertically movable manner; hooks 30 connected to lower ends of the lifting members 20, respectively; and a drive mechanism 40 for rotatively driving the two lifting members 20 at the same time to vertically move them. Driven gears 24 are provided on the lifting members 20, respectively. The drive mechanism 40 includes a drive shaft 42 rotatably supported on the beam member 12 and two drive gears 44 attached to the drive shaft 42 and engaging with the respective driven gears 24. |
