STANDBY POWER REDUCTION DEVICE AND TOTAL CONTROL SYSTEM OF HOME APPLIANCES BY USING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a standby power reduction device. According to the embodiment of the present invention, the device includes: a power control module which is installed at the power input terminal of a home appliance and includes a commercial power switch placed on a line from a commercial power supply and passing/blocking current flowing into the home appliance, a signal control unit supplying an opening/closing signal to the commercial power switch, and a converter converting the AC of the commercial power supply and supplying a certain power voltage to the signal control unit; and a power sensor which is installed inside the home appliance to detect the on/off status of the power switch of the home appliance and deliver a certain signal to the signal control unit. By doing so, the present invention is able to enhance the standby power reduction efficiency by automatically blocking the main power supply when a home appliance goes into a standby mode.
