摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform proper image correction and object identification by taking the influence of ambient light into consideration.SOLUTION: An area setting part 22 sets a plurality of areas corresponding to the strength of the influence of the ambient light on the basis of a luminance value or an illumination existence/absence differential value of any of the plurality of images picked up in each of light of a plurality of wavelength bands both when illumination light is irradiated to a subject and when the illumination light is not radiated to the subject, an ambient light estimation part 24 estimates spectral balance of the ambient light on the basis of the illumination existence/absence differential value of images in the same wavelength band, the luminance value of the images when the illumination light is not radiated, and a spectral intensity ratio in each wavelength band of the illumination light in each area, and an image correction part 26 corrects a pixel value of a pixel in an area in each image of a plurality of wavelength bands so as to make spectral intensity each wavelength band of the ambient light constant on the basis of the estimated spectral balance of the ambient light. When identifying the object, the object is identified from an image whose pixel value is corrected, on the basis of a spectral reflectance characteristic of the object of an identification object.
