PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for cooling a reactor.SOLUTION: A reactor 10 as disclosed in the invention includes: a reactor main body 5 having coils 3 wound around a core 2 that is made up of a magnetic material; a case 4 that houses the reactor main body 5; and a first coolant passage 7a (7b) that is provided in the case 4 and faces both of coil end faces 3a(3b) in a winding axis direction of the coils and core projections 2a (2b) that project from the respective end faces 3a(3b). The reactor 10 is provided with the first coolant passage 7a(7b) that faces both of the core 2 and the coils 3, and thus allows both of the core and the coils to be cooled favorably. The technique is suitable for reactors using coils that are formed by winding rectangular wires edgewise and that have large winding area when seen from the winding axis direction. |
