<p>1292269 A triamcinolone ketal and esters thereof ROUSSEL-UCLAF SA 2 March 1970 9868/70 Heading C2U The invention comprises 9-fluoro-11#,21- 1 - dihydroxy - 16α,17 - (2 - propenylidenedioxy)- pregna - 1,4 - diene - 3,20 - dione and its 21- C 2-6 alkanoates) wherein the alkanoyl radical is optionally substituted by a CO 2 H, CO 2 NH 4 , or CO 2 M group (M being an alkali metal), said group being separated from the carbonyl group of the alkanoyl radical by at least two carbon atoms. These compounds are prepared by reacting triamcinolone with acrolein in the presence of an acid catalyst, optionally followed by 21- alkanoylation and optional salification. The inventive compounds are stated to possess thymolytic, glycogenic and antiinflammatory activities and may be made up with carriers into pharmaceutical compositions for oral, parenteral, rectal and topical administration.</p> |
