The present invention provides a device for rapidly sinking a metal chip such as aluminum to a molten metal, and an aluminum electric furnace having the rapid sinking device. The rapid sinking device comprises: a metal chip inserting zone supplied to one side of a melting furnace; an electromagnetic stirring equipment for generating a deep direction circulating flow in a molten metal while more than one is supplied to a lower part of a furnace of the metal chip inserting zone; and a dam means, which is installed in order that at least a lower end is sunk to a molten metal by closely approaching the inserting zone, and which is provided in order to induce the deep direction circulating flow to an inside of the molten metal. The metal chip consists of an aluminum chip, and the metal chip inserting zone comprises a slope zone to form a smooth deep direction circulating flow. According to the present invention, a yielding percentage of an aluminum chip is increased by preventing that the aluminum chip is oxidized by ambient gas in a melting furnace by rapidly sinking the aluminum chip to a molten metal of the melting furnace, and aluminum melting efficiency is generally maximized. |
