PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device that suppresses interference on a communication system using a cable modem by a communication signal of a communication device using coaxial cable.SOLUTION: A communication device comprises: a reception unit which receives a reception signal from metal cable and extracts reception data; a transmission unit which transmits a transmission signal into which transmission data was modulated with a frequency included in a first frequency band to the metal cable; an interference signal detection unit which detects, as an interference signal, a signal which is used for communication using a cable modem, was modulated with a frequency included in a second frequency band, and transmits on the metal cable; and a signal transmission control unit which instructs the transmission unit to modulate transmission data with a frequency included in a third frequency band which does not have a frequency band overlapping with the second frequency band if an interference signal is detected and there is a frequency band overlapping with the first frequency band and the second frequency band. |
