The hydraulic device (10) has two lifting cylinders (1,2), a control valve (11) arranged in first switching position, and two pressure medium sources which are connected to primary and secondary cylinder assemblies, in second switching position. The source of pressurized fluid is connected to the primary cylinder assembly. The inlet-side connection of pressure medium source is connected to the secondary cylinder assembly. The valve is controlled in response to the differential pressure that occurs at a throttle device (16) arranged at the inlet side of pressure medium source.
