<p>Provided are a Vector coefficient training method and device for a vectored digital subscriber line. The method comprises: after executing a handshake phase with a newly added line, calculating an initial pre-coding coefficient and an initial offset coefficient of the newly added line with respect to a normally working line by a pilot estimation method; and after executing a channel discovery phase with the newly added line, compensating the initial pre-coding coefficient and the initial offset coefficient by a compensation factor, so as to obtain a pre-coding coefficient and an offset coefficient of the newly added line with respect to the normally working line, wherein the compensation factor is obtained according to the change in signal power or the change in signal phase of the newly added line. The present invention improves the efficiency of Vector coefficient training.</p>
