PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, in acknowledgment of degradations of coats of coating materials applied to various materials outdoors due to effects of solar beams, rains and winds, etc. and of ensuing losses of aesthetic appearances, degradations of weather resistance due to cracks and discolorations of coats, etc., a coat degradation-preventive composition exhibiting stout weather-resistant performances against solar beams, rains and winds, etc.SOLUTION: The coat degradation-preventive composition of the present invention exhibits, due to the mixing, with a coating material, of a fatty acid metal salt as a coat degradation-preventive agent, an improved stability following the formation of a coat thereof on a material surface and, due to improved weather-resistant functions thereof, improved performances of preserving aesthetic appearances and protecting materials per se in comparison with ordinary coating materials. |
