PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a structure in which a resultant according to a user's desire can be obtained.SOLUTION: There is provided a pressing device 300 as pressing means which comes in press contact with a fixing roller 40 as a first rotational body and a pressure roller 41 as a second rotational body, and changes a contact pressure so that a nip width in a conveyance direction of a recording material of a nip part N can be changed. There are also provided a thermistor 42a as temperature detection means for detecting a temperature of the fixing roller 40, and a temperature control part 43 as temperature setting means capable of changing the temperature of the fixing roller 40 on the basis of a detection result of the thermistor 42a. A control device 202 controls the pressing device 300 and the temperature control part 43 so that two or more modes can be executed in which temperatures of a nip width and the fixing roller 40 are mutually different, and moreover a fixing property of an image fixed on a recording material can be secured in a prescribed range. |
