PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the physical strength and reliability of a thin substrate panel without degrading the quality of the appearance of the panel.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device that enables a decrease in the thickness of a substrate comprises: an array substrate 10 having a plurality of display pixels; a counter substrate 20 arranged opposite the display pixel side of the array substrate 10; a first sealing layer 41 for bonding the substrates 10 and 20; a liquid crystal material 30 filled between the array substrate 10 and the counter substrate 20 with respect to the display panel formed from the substrates 10 and 20 bonded by the first sealing layer 41; and a second sealing layer 42 provided on the outer peripheral part of the first sealing layer 41 and composed of siloxane as its main component. |
