PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a discharged extra oil from flowing backward and adhering to a brush 4 etc. and shorten a rotation shaft direction dimension of a rotary electric machine 101 in the rotary electric machine 101.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine 101 includes: an input shaft 40; a first rotor 10 which is integrally attached to the input shaft 40; a slip ring 70 which is integrally attached to the input shaft 40 and electrically connects with the first rotor 10; a brush 4 which contacts with the slip ring 70; a cover body 3 which houses the slip ring 70 and the brush 4; and a power supply side oil reservoir 16 formed at a bottom part of the cover body 3. In the cover body 3, passages A and B, which connect with the power supply side oil reservoir 16, are formed so as to be arranged perpendicular to the input shaft 40.
