PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ballpoint pen capable of forming excellent handwriting for a long time and giving a good writing feeling by preventing a carbonaceous film from peeling off from a ball surface over a long period of time even when an aqueous ink composition is applied to a ball surface on which surface a carbonaceous film having a carbon-oxygen bond is formed and coated.SOLUTION: There is provided a ballpoint pen in which a ballpoint pen tip having a ball and a ball embracing part for rotatably embracing the ball is disposed at a writing tip part and an aqueous ink composition is incorporated. A carbonaceous film having a carbon atom or an oxygen atom bonded to a carbon atom is formed in at least one of a surface of the ball or a contact part with the ball embracing part, and the aqueous ink composition is composed of a colorant, water and a thiadiazole-based compound. |
