PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode substrate for a touch panel that suppresses visible recognition of moire caused by interference with pixels of a display panel, a touch panel, and an image display device.SOLUTION: An electrode substrate 10 for a touch panel has a conductor mesh 2 that defines a plurality of opening areas A on a transparent substrate 1; and mesh patterns 2P thereof are formed of a plurality of boundary segments L that extend between two branch points B to define the opening areas, and have mesh patterns that satisfy the following three conditions: (a) the average value N of the number of the boundary segments extending from one branch point is 3.0≤N<4.0; (b) at least two opening areas are included from among an opening area surrounded by five boundary segments, an opening area surrounded by six boundary segments, and an opening area surrounded by seven boundary segments; and (c) opening areas surrounded by six boundary segments are included the most. A touch panel uses the electrode substrate for a touch panel, and an image display device includes the touch panel on a display surface side of a display panel. |
