PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope device capable of observing an observation object with great shape or weight at high magnification and high resolution.SOLUTION: The microscope device includes: a lens barrel (10) attached with an eyepiece lens (11) and an object lens (15); a coaxial illumination mechanism (17) for having light from a light source (18) make incidence on an observation surface coaxial with an optical axis (L1) connecting the eyepiece lens (11) and the objective lens (15); a bottomed cylinder cover member (20) attached to a bottom end (10b) of the lens barrel (10) for covering the objective lens (15); and an elevation mechanism (25) for having the objective lens (15) travel proceeding and receding vertically in the cover member (20). In this case, an opening (22) is formed on a bottom wall (21) where a tip (15a) of the objective lens (15) faces in the cover member (20) and an o-ring (24) composed of elastic material such as rubber is attached around the opening (22) in a bottom surface (21a) of the bottom wall (21). |
