PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel cord for reinforcing rubber articles having an M+N structure having excellent treatment properties after coated with rubber, and to provide a pneumatic radial tire including the same.SOLUTION: The steel cord 10 for reinforcing rubber articles includes a core composed of M pieces of core filaments 1 and a sheath composed of N pieces of sheath filaments 2 stranded around the core. When the diameter of the core filament 1 is defined as d1 and the diameter of the sheath filament 2 is defined as d2, d1>d2; and when an average preforming rate of the core filament 1 is defined as H1 and an average preforming rate of the sheath filament 2 is defined as H2, H1<H2; and the torsion of the sheath filament 2 is 0 to 2.0 times/m. |
